Survival Learning

Used as either a full programme or as individual sessions, Survival Learning is a new and exciting activity that teaches young people the wide range of skills necessary to survive in the wilderness.

Participants are encouraged to think about their perception of the natural world and understand which elements can be utilised in conjunction with their newly acquired skills. During this session, participants will learn how to construct a shelter, safely light a campfire using natural materials, and use campfire gadgets to cook a variety of meals outdoors. By working together in teams, Survival Learning also teaches important life skills such as resilience, communication, problem-solving, creativity, and overcoming personal challenges.
